Like so many Irish women, I'd tried everything. Every diet. Every gym membership. Every "quick fix" that promised results.
Nothing stuck.
The problem wasn't motivation. It was life. Working full-time, raising two kids, managing a household, there simply wasn't time for complicated workout routines or meal prep marathons.
I was 30 lbs overweight, exhausted all the time, battling degenerative disc disease, and making excuses about Irish weather keeping me from outdoor walks.
Then I discovered walking pads.
I could walk while watching TV, taking calls, working remotely, or just decompressing after work. No commute to a gym. No weather excuses. Just consistent movement.
The results surprised even me. In 8 months, I lost 30 lbs. Not through extreme dieting or punishing workouts, just by walking 30-45 minutes most days.
Some days I walked in the morning. Some days during lunch breaks. Some evenings while watching Netflix. It didn't matter when, I just showed up consistently.
The weight came off slowly but steadily. More importantly, I felt energised, slept better, and finally had a fitness routine that fit my actual life.
